The holidays are well behind us now, and we’re on the move again! See where we we’ve recently traveled .

Farewell to the Islas Baleares! We made rich friendships there, especially in Palma (pictured above off our stern) and Mahón, and we grew comfortable roots in this wonderful island paradise. But At First Sight was meant for cruising, and that’s what we’re in this to do.

  1. We see you are in Alcadesa. We stopped there on our way into the Med just after it opened. We had also booked in there for 10 days last May which of course didn’t happen. Is the border to Gib open?
We have no idea when we will get back to Cartagena but on the positive side we are both getting our vaccinations this week.
    What are your plans now?
    Fair winds to you.

    1. Tony, it’s wonderful to hear from you. We’ve been intending to email you and Sarah, but the days are flying by.
We made landfall in Ceuta, and had intended to spend a few days on that side of the Strait; however, the Guardia Civil informed us at the Marina Hercules fuel dock that transients could not enter Ceuta right now due to a spike on COVID cases. He was kind enough to call his colleagues in Algecerias and La Línea to confirm that those ports were open.
All of this is to say, we are intending to sail to Cádiz (Rota) this week, and the prepare for the return crossing to the Caribbean, via Madeira and the Canary Islands.
Glad to know you are getting your vaccinations soon. We’re on a waitlist at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Rota, but I doubt we’ll rise to the top of the list before we depart.
      Abrazos, David & Vicki
