I am David Lane, a mostly retired former Navy physician. And to paraphrase the Jimmy Buffet song, my wife and I raised three swell kids, had our share of toys, and Vicki has been my lovely wife for more than 38 years. We've thought about living and cruising aboard a sailboat almost as long as we've been married, but life as a Navy family somehow always got in the way. Vicki and I bought and moved aboard our sailboat, S/V At First Sight, 3 years before we retired. We lived aboard in SW Washington, DC, and sailed the Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay whenever we had a few days off. We retired in 2018, and sailed away. This is our story
